* sys-devel/binutils: make gprofng optional (masked USE flag)Sam James2022-08-261-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | We can enable this by default in future, but it's brand new in 2.39 with several bugs: - Doesn't build on musl (https://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=29477) - No man pages (https://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=29521) - Broken at runtime without Java (https://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=29479) - binutils-config (and this ebuild?) needs adaptation first (https://bugs.gentoo.org/865113) Bug: https://bugs.gentoo.org/865113 Signed-off-by: Sam James <sam@gentoo.org>
* sys-devel/binutils: add USE=pgo for 2.37_p1-r2Sam James2022-01-211-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Added upstream in 2.37, actually, but we'd missed it! Realised after seeing the sync commit for GCC. Sets --enable-pgo-build=lto if USE=pgo is set. Throws in LTO for the PGO build too given it's cleaner than e.g. having a USE=lto which only works when USE=pgo is also set, REQUIRED_USE, or other nonsense. Signed-off-by: Sam James <sam@gentoo.org>

* sys-devel/binutils: add USE=default-gold, bug #496760Sergei Trofimovich2019-02-121-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | binutils allows you to set ld=ld.bfd (default) and ld=ld.gold. Expose this override as USE=default-gold. Reported-by: Marcin Mirosław Bug: https://bugs.gentoo.org/496760 Package-Manager: Portage-2.3.60, Repoman-2.3.12 Signed-off-by: Sergei Trofimovich <slyfox@gentoo.org>

* toolchain-binutils.eclass: [QA] Remove USE=multislot, #584610Michał Górny2016-06-211-1/+0
| | | | | | | | The USE=multislot was used only to control build-time blocker on previous versions of binutils. However, there is no technical reason not to have multiple binutils versions installed at build time (or run time). Considering that the flag does not control the installed files or the package in any other way, it is an invalid use of USE flags.

* Replace all herds with appropriate projects (GLEP 67)Michał Górny2016-01-241-1/+4
| | | | | Replace all uses of herd with appropriate project maintainers, or no maintainers in case of herds requested to be disbanded.
* Unify quoting in metadata.xml files for machine processingMichał Górny2016-01-241-2/+2
| | | | | | | Force unified quoting in all metadata.xml files since lxml does not preserve original use of single and double quotes. Ensuring unified quoting before the process allows distinguishing the GLEP 67-related metadata.xml changes from unrelated quoting changes.

* proj/gentoo: Initial commitRobin H. Johnson2015-08-081-0/+12
This commit represents a new era for Gentoo: Storing the gentoo-x86 tree in Git, as converted from CVS. This commit is the start of the NEW history. Any historical data is intended to be grafted onto this point. Creation process: 1. Take final CVS checkout snapshot 2. Remove ALL ChangeLog* files 3. Transform all Manifests to thin 4. Remove empty Manifests 5. Convert all stale $Header$/$Id$ CVS keywords to non-expanded Git $Id$ 5.1. Do not touch files with -kb/-ko keyword flags. Signed-off-by: Robin H.
