Latest stable media-video/ffmpeg-2.8.6 provides both functions: avcodec_decode_audio3 avcodec_decode_audio4 While latest stable media-video/libav-11.3 provides only avcodec_decode_audio4 Pulled large patchset from upstream to support audio4 API.
