Ensure to preserve file mtimes while copying them from the source tree
to the installation image. This ensures that the generated files
are newer than source files, and that PyPy does not attempt to rewrite
them at runtime.

Add subslots whenever possible, remove useless slot from sys-libs/glibc
and add missing dep on sys-devel/gcc (for libgcc_s.so).

Add RDEPENDs to DEPEND since we run the built PyPy in order to generate
CFFI caches and byte-compile modules.

Add a variant rebuilt using openssl-1.0.2g, that is without SSLv2
routines. This variant can be used both with new and old versions of
OpenSSL.

Replace all uses of herd with appropriate project maintainers, or no
maintainers in case of herds requested to be disbanded.

Force unified quoting in all metadata.xml files since lxml does not
preserve original use of single and double quotes. Ensuring unified
quoting before the process allows distinguishing the GLEP 67-related
metadata.xml changes from unrelated quoting changes.

Prefer the shadowstack gcrootfinder over asmgcc since the latter
strongly relies on specific assembly being generated by gcc and is often
broken by various optimization flags.

Override all default distutils.command.install paths for Gentoo rather
than just scriptdir. However, do that only when install_base equals
the default prefix in which PyPy is installed system-wide.
This fixes both issues resulting from lack of prefix override (like
installing data files in /usr/lib*/pypy), and from overeager prefix
overrides (like virtualenv installing scripts in /usr/bin).

Use SLOT=0 for installing of main development files like other packages
so we can use other SLOTs for installing SONAME libs for binary packages.

There is no 5 subslot, so trying to depend on it won't actually work.

This commit represents a new era for Gentoo:
Storing the gentoo-x86 tree in Git, as converted from CVS.
This commit is the start of the NEW history.
Any historical data is intended to be grafted onto this point.
Creation process:
1. Take final CVS checkout snapshot
2. Remove ALL ChangeLog* files
3. Transform all Manifests to thin
4. Remove empty Manifests
5. Convert all stale $Header$/$Id$ CVS keywords to non-expanded Git $Id$
5.1. Do not touch files with -kb/-ko keyword flags.
